Kant-Nature

The word nature assumes yet another meaning, which determines the object, whereas in the former sense it only denotes the conformity to law of the determinations of the existence of things generally. Nature considered materialiter is the totality of all objects of experience.

Yes nature does consits of the existence of things, however material things dont determine nature. Objects are apart of being in nature just like humans..I dont think humans are the totality of nature. We are apart of nature, not what makes up nature. I dont understand how Kant would think there is more than one meaning for nature, and say that it is objects(the existence of things). If he said the existences of things like greenery that surrounds him, I would agree with him.

I do believe that material things determine nature. We as humans also make up nature. We determine whether or not nature exist because there are certain things us as human beings have to do to so that nature could exist. People smoking and people not recycling is something that determines whether nature exist or not. But if don't believe that is something material what about cars. Cars pollute nature and it is also destroying nature. It is our job as humans to make sure nature exists.

No God determines whether nature exist...(mother nature)we as people dont have control over how nature works...In regards to pollution and smoking thats what we put in nature...and I dont think Kant is talking about that..He is talking about the surroundings of nature..

Its not our job to make sure nature exists...nature is going to exist regardless...nature existed before we were here...its our job to take care of nature since we live in this world...but nature is going to exist regardless....grass is going to be here b/c its going to rain...trees are going to also grow...these are things that naturally happens...we has people dont have jobs to take care of trees...and with trees we are going have oxygen..this is just a God given thing...when there is no one on earth, there will still be nature!

i agree in saying that we are a part OF nature. i believe in evolution, meaning that i think that our very lives come from the earth and we produce actions that effect all the nature that we are a part of. we exist and so does nature. we effect the nature of the world constantly..therefore we must be a part of nature.
